I've been learning coding off and on for maybe 7 years now. The first languages I started with were python and C++, then I learnt HTML and CSS for a while, then Java.
I'm still not really adept in any of them. Probably my favorite is C++. I like it because it's a whole system. So is Java, but Java is a bit too convoluted. Python is the opposite extreme. It's too user friendly. There's no friction to really engage with.
