lists

Doing a lot of book list challenges and compiling my own lists has changed my view of reading. It has made me want to read good books. There's a consensus about what that is among readers, and going through all these lists has made me aware of that. 

I'm always excited and engaged by contexts in which I have some understanding, but there's still a lot that I don't understand. What I do understand affirms me, and what I don't understand shows me that there is room to grow. Going through these lists, I'm encouraged by how much I have read, but I'm also inspired to read more because there's so much that I haven't read.
