That for which we find words is already dead in our hearts. There is a kind of contempt in the act of speaking.
I haven't been able to find out where that quote came from. It would be good to see it in context. I like this quote. It stuck in my mind ever since I first read it, quoted by Harold Bloom.
There's a luminous truth there. It's only what we have fully figured out that we can express in words and therefore it's not interesting. It's resolved, negated.
